Marine Mat is high quality closed cell EVA foam that will not absorb water and is extremely resistant to stains and mildew. Unlike carpet that needs to be removed to be cleaned and dried, Marine Mat can be washed and scrubbed in place just like a traditional non-skid or teak deck. Marine Mat combines great looks, fantastic traction, shock absorption, and ease of maintenance all in one economically priced package. Marine Mat offers two styles of mats: "Stick It" and "Snap It".

Snap-It Decking

The only removable foam decking in the marine industry, MarineMat's patent-pending Snap-It Series mats are unique in that they allow individual mats to be snapped into place instead of being glued. Engineered with four layers, including an EVA foam layer for the top, polyester in the middle of the foam and a non-skid traction layer on the bottom, these mats are an ideal replacement for marine carpet.

Stick-It Decking

Stick-It Series mats are made from the same ultra-high quality EVA as the Snap-It Series. But instead of snaps, Stick-It mats use a patented 3M adhesive making them extremely versatile to apply almost anywhere on your watercraft: swim platforms, helm areas, complete cockpits, accent areas such as under gunwale rods storage, inside storage lockers, or as step pads entering the boat. The adhesive sticks to most surfaces, whether smooth or non-skid fiberglass, most aluminum or steel surfaces, and even painted or sealed wood.

Bill Kendall, ownerMy name is Bill Kendall. I'm the owner of Florida Boat Decking. I've spent the better part of the past 30 years working in the outdoor industry.  Like many of you, I have a passion for the outdoors and in particular boating.

I thoroughly enjoy meeting with boaters and learning about their lifestyle on the water.  This is where Florida Boat Decking stands far above our competition, we listen, we learn and we ensure you are 100% satisfied.

I grew up boating with my dad, water skiing was his passion and mine for many years, but today I run a skiff, hunting fish in shallow water with my 2 boys. But with every boat and customer I meet, I am either reminded of a previous trip, or adventure on the water, or introduced to a new one. We share stories created on and around the water, because it is part of who we are, and where we belong.

Our Process

  1. The first thing we do is meet you at your boat. This is important because we get to examine the existing deck as well as learn about your needs as the boat owner.
  2. At that time we give you an accurate quote. That quote is rock solid! It won't change unless you make additions or alterations.
  3. Once you give us the go-ahead, we come back to your boat and scan it using the Proliner 8 3D system (the most accurate technology on the market).
  4. We use that 3-Dimensional scan to create your new boat deck design. Your boat's deck mat design is kept on file should you damage a piece and need a replacement. We can generally replace the damaged piece at a reduced cost.
  5. Once you approve the design, we send it to Marine Mat who uses propreitary technology to create and cut the deck mats precisely to the design we submit. Marine Mat has developed proprietary dies which make their cuts the cleanest and most attractive in the industry. Our competitors often leave cutting ridges, layers, or fuzzy hair-like residual material. We use MarineMat because the cuts are crisp and clean, leaving your new deck looking even more amazing.
  6. Marine Mat sends us all the components for your new deck in a "kit".
  7. That's when we arrange a day and time to come back to your boat and install the kit, often within a day o two.

Warranty

Marine Mat decking comes with a 3 year warranty. On top of that we warranty our workmanship, if you are not satisfied within the 30 days after we install your kit, call us, and we will resolve your concerns. Your satisfaction is our priority because we know your referral is the best marketing we can achieve.
